(CNN) -- The finalists for the 2010 World Cup will become clearer this weekend as the race to qualify for South Africa hots up.
Three more qualification places have been decided this weekend with Cameroon and Nigeria securing their spots in Africa. Egypt or Algeria will join them after a dramatic 2-0 win for the Pharoahs on Saturday to set up a playoff on Wednesday. New Zealand, who claimed victory over Bahrain in their play-off match, are also on their way to the finals.
The picture in Europe should also become apparent with the first legs of qualifying play-off ties being played with powerhouses France and Portugal in action.
