(CNN) -- England's Paul Broadhurst leads going into the final round of the Estoril Portugal Open as he bids for a third win at the tournament in five attempts.

The 42-year-old former Ryder Cup star carded a four-under-par 67 at Oitavos Dunes for a seven-under total of 207.
He is a shot clear of fellow Englishman David Lynn, Jamie Donaldson of Wales and Dutchman Maarten Lafeber, who just missed out on a European Tour record for nine holes when he charged home in 28.
Broadhurst claimed his first Portugal crown in dramatic circumstances at the same course in 2005.
He looked out of contention in the closing holes, but first Paul Lawrie triple-bogeyed the 17th before Barry Lane, who was then in the lead, ran up a quintuple bogey nine on the tough 18th.
Broadhurst successfully retained the crown at Penina in 2006 but has not won since.
"There must be something in the beer in Portugal," he told Press Association.
"It suits my game. There are one or two tight holes, but a bit of a room on others. And after struggling with my putter for two or three months it seems to be working."
Lafeber racked up five successive birdies before chipping in from 20 yards for an eagle on the long 16th, then left himself a 25-foot chance on the last to match the record 27 for nine holes. He missed the putt but still carded a seven-under 64 to move firmly into contention.
Lynn also came home strongly in 31 for a 65, while Donaldson matched Broadhurst's 67.
Halfway leader Ross McGowan bogeyed the last to stand joint fifth with 1999 British Open champion Lawrie whose 68 gave the Scot the chance to wipe out the bad memories of four years ago.
