JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- A 10-year-old girl was killed and 35 other people wounded in a major earthquake near the north coast of West Papua, Indonesia, government officials said.
The toll was one fewer than the two dead cited during the weekend.
The magnitude 7.6 quake struck Sunday at about 4:43 a.m. (2:43 p.m. Saturday ET), about 95 miles (150 km) west-northwest of Manokwari, Indonesia, and about 105 miles (170 km) east-northeast of Sorong -- two cities in the Indonesian province of West Papua.
Dozens of houses were damaged, and four buildings collapsed, the agency said. Dozens of military personnel have been called up for rescue operations.
A military official in Manokwari said nobody was trapped under the rubble after rescuers sifted through the area.
The quake was centered at a depth of 21.7 miles (35 km).
A tsunami warning was initially issued but lifted within an hour of the quake.
