KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- NATO-led forces have killed 18 suspected insurgents in a strike in eastern Afghanistan's Konar province.

The firefight on Friday was a pre-emptive strike along a known insurgent infiltration route in Pech District, according to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force. The battle involved ground forces and air support, including attack helicopters.

Insurgent munitions collected after the fighting included 10 AK-47s, rocket-propelled grenade launchers with ammunition, five radios and two hand grenades, according to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).

No ISAF or civilian casualties were reported.
