KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Two NATO service members were killed Saturday in a bombing in southern Afghanistan, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said Sunday.
The military did not release further details in the bombing. There was no immediate word of the service members' nationalities.
Meanwhile police Sunday said 16 U.N. workers went missing Saturday in eastern Afghanistan.
The workers, who were de-mining an area between Logar and Paktia, were either taken by unknown gunmen or voluntarily went with their de-mining truck, said Gen Azizullah Wardak, the provincial police chief in Paktia.
Only their abandoned ambulance was found. No other details were immediately available.
