ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- At least nine people were wounded in an explosion outside a restaurant in northwestern Pakistan on Friday, police and hospital officials said.
The blast occurred outside a restaurant in Peshawar's Hayatabad neighborhood.
Hayatabad is a mostly residential area in southwest Peshawar, very close to the border with Khyber agency. Khyber is one of seven districts in Pakistan's tribal region along the Afghan border.
