(CNN) -- A Michigan mall reopened Sunday after closing early Saturday night when a shooting left two people critically injured, police said.

Eastland Mall, crowded with holiday shoppers, closed around 7 p.m. Saturday after the incident.

The shooting started after a verbal argument between two groups of teenagers inside the mall, police in Harper Woods, Michigan, said.

Two gunmen fired four to six rounds, police said, striking an 18-year-old victim twice in the chest. Another victim -- a 35-year-old store employee -- was struck in the leg.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, though they are expected to survive, Deputy Police Chief Jim Burke said late Saturday.

Police are searching for a silver Buick Century the gunmen were believed to be driving when they fled the mall.

The shooting is under investigation.
