(CNN) -- Argentinian authorities rescued 12 people who had become trapped in rubble after a gym in Buenos Aires collapsed Monday. Rescuers continued to search in the debris, but they said they didn't expect to find anyone else.

Digging at a construction site next door to the gym was believed to be related to the collapse, the state-run Telam news agency reported.

"The excavating machines were removing earth, and a moment later you could hear a tremor," a witness told Telam.

Besides the 12 people who were rescued, eight others were injured and transported to area hospitals. No fatalities were reported.
