Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- An Afghan parliamentary candidate and another Afghan civilian were wounded Thursday in a grenade attack at the governor's compound in Ghazni City, the International Security Assistance Force reported in a news release.
The candidate, Moulana Abdul Rahman, was wounded when a grenade exploded near his office at approximately 1:30 p.m., it said.
A technician at Ghazni Hospital was also wounded in the blast.
The two were taken to Ghazni Hospital and then transferred to Forward Operating Base Ghazni for treatment.
The Afghan National Police are investigating the incident.
