Bangkok,Thailand (CNN) -- The death toll from this month's floods in Thailand has risen to 68, the country's Emergency Medical Institute said Thursday.
The heavy rains that started earlier this month could intensify in the next couple days.
Officials were still worried about flooding in areas where the Mun and Chee rivers converge in northeastern Thailand, the MCOT news agency reported.
About 800 residents have evacuated to higher ground, MCOT said.
