Athens, Greece (CNN) -- A mid-air collision between two Greek Air Force jets Thursday left one pilot dead, the air force press office told CNN.
Two other pilots survived the crash, which took place during a training exercise northwest of the island of Crete, the press office said.
An investigation into the incident has begun.
