Moscow, Russia (CNN) -- Flooding killed at least 11 people and forced hundreds to flee from their homes in Russia's southern Krasnodar territory, state media reported Saturday.
About 300 people were evacuated, according to RIA Novosti. Three are missing, according to a local government spokesman.
Torrential rains have pounded Krasnodar, flooding 21 villages, state media said. Still, the situation has "stabilized" in the flooded area and residents have started returning to their homes, RIA Novosti said.
Officials have declared an emergency status in the area.
