Baghdad (CNN) -- Two roadside bomb blasts targeting a police patrol in eastern Baghdad Thursday killed at least 10 people and wounded more than 30 others, witnesses said.
Police did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Police officers were among the dead, two witnesses told CNN.
The explosions come less than a week after U.S. President Barack Obama announced that virtually all U.S. troops will come home from Iraq by the end of the year.
