A NATO drone made an emergency landing Tuesday in southeastern Afghanistan, officials said.
Maj. Jason Waggoner, spokesman for NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said the cause was technical failure.
The drone landed in Paktia province, Waggoner said.
Rohullah Samoon, spokesman for the Paktia governor, said an investigation is under way.
The emergency landing took place at about 11 a.m. local time (1:30 a.m. ET), Samoon said.
