(CNN) -- From World Cup bribes to presidential election pay-offs, allegations of corruption and vote buying have rocked FIFA, soccer's governing body, for the past twelve months.

Despite the controversies, Sepp Blatter was re-elected FIFA president unopposed after his rival, the Qatari Mohamed bin Hammam, was suspended over allegations of bribery.

Blatter stood in front of the world's press shortly before his victory to declare that FIFA was still in rude health. "Crisis?" he asked, "what is a crisis?"
