(CNN) -- A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck near San Francisco Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake, which had a reported depth of 6.1 miles, was centered about 2 miles east-southeast of Berkeley, California.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
