Islamabad, Pakistan CNN  —

A blast at a railway station in Lahore, Pakistan, killed two people Tuesday and wounded 27, officials said.

It seems to be a “terrorist act,” said Aslam Tareen, the city’s police chief.

Between 6 and 8 kilograms (13 to 18 pounds) of explosive material was used, Tareen said.

The bomb was planted in a bag placed on a train platform, said police official Sajid Ali.
