Conflict Resolution – Zimbabwean-born Kudzanai Chiurai is an internationally acclaimed multimedia artist.
Conflict Resolution – In 2012, he made his debut at Documenta 13 in Kassel, Germany, with "Conflict Resolution." He is among some 200 artists from about 50 countries whose work captivated the organizers of the 57-year-old exhibition.
Conflict Resolution – "The title of the whole exhibition is 'Conflict Resolution' and my idea around it was actually to build, to create like an altar within the space that I was given," says Chiurai.
Conflict Resolution – He says a lot of work at his latest exhibition examines African mythology. "I think the work at Documenta also speaks about solidarity," Chiurai adds.
House and Leisure – Chiurai is part of what is known as the "Born-Free" generation on the African continent, being born a year after independence in Zimbabwe.
State Of The Nation - Untitled IV – Born in 1981 in Harare, he has exhibited at MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, among others.

Kudzanai Chiurai – More than an artist, Chiurai (pictured) has been described as a poet, an activist and a cultural philosopher.

State Of The Nation - Procession – For Chiurai, activism and art go together. "I can't run away from that," he says. "I have sort of consistently made a series of posters every year, so,I don't think I can separate it, I always work in the same way."
