[Updated 3 p.m. Monday, July 16] That's powdered tobacco being snorted by participants in this month's World Snuff Championship.
This was the 18th year of the international competition, held in Peutenhausen, Germany. The object is to snort as much tobacco as possible in one minute, up to a maximum of 5 grams.
"The nasal mucosa suffers a bit," 2011 winner Christian Knauer Jr. told Reuters. "But that goes away after a few minutes. Then it's OK again."
Check out this video to see highlights of this year's competition, which included about 300 men and women.
Congrats to "KC123456" and "KJD0204" for being the first two CNN readers to answer correctly in our weekly photo challenge.

Each Monday morning, we'll post a new photo and challenge you to tell us its origin. The photo might be related to a prominent news story or theme -- or it might just be something that caught our eye.
