(CNN) -- Novak Djokovic coasted into the semifinals of the Cincinnati Masters on Friday to set up a rematch with Juan Martin del Potro, two weeks after the Argentine defeated him in the bronze-medal match at the London Olympics.

The Serb second seed took just 80 minutes to overcome Marin Cilic 6-3 6-2 to extend his unbeaten career record over the Croatian to 7-0.

"It was my best match so far here in this tournament. Came in the right moment, really. I had the biggest challenge today with Cilic who has been playing well the last couple of months. Played a really good match," Djokovic said, ATPWorldTour.com reported.

Sixth seed del Potro was in equally uncompromising mood earlier in the day dispatching Andy Murray's conqueror Jeremy Chardy of France 6-1 6-3.

"I think I'm in a good level at the moment after the Olympics. I have confidence to play against all the players. But anyway I'm still feeling a little difference between the top players and me. But I know I'm getting closer very slowly, so that's important. I'm working for that," del Potro said.

Del Potro will now be looking to complete his third successive victory over Djokovic after his recent win at Wimbledon and in a Davis Cup tie last September.

Djokovic says the match will be a challenge, but he isn't looking for revenge for recent defeats at the hands of the Argentine.

"It's a sport. You lose, you win, but the most important thing is to try to move on and become even better and even stronger from those experiences and try to win. So tomorrow will be my opportunity to win against him," Djokovic said, ATPWorldTour.com reported.

America's Mardy Fish takes on Roger Federer in the last quarterfinal match on Friday with the winner facing either Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka or Milos Raonic of Canada in the semifinal.
