Members of a suspected terrorist cell aiming to carry out attacks in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have been arrested, the official Emirates News Agency reported Wednesday.

Those arrested included UAE and Saudi citizens, UAE security officials said.

UEA and Saudi Arabia worked jointly on the investigation into the terror cell, which had "exported materials and equipment aiming to conduct terrorist attacks," the official news agency reported.

Details about the alleged plots were not immediately available.
