Blast in Pakistan marketplace kills at least 2

A remote-controlled bomb exploded in a busy market place in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday, killing at least two people and wounding 13 more, police said.

The bomb, packing about 5 kilograms (11 lbs) of explosives, was hidden in a parked motorbike near a police station by the market in the city of Bannu, said Waqar Ahmed, a police official.

Bannu lies close to the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
