Bombs explode outside eastern Iraqi mosque, killing 7

Seven people were killed and 25 others were wounded when two roadside bombs exploded outside a Sunni mosque in Kanaan, Iraq, about 60 kilometers north of Baghdad on Friday afternoon, police in nearby Baquba said.

The two roadside bombs exploded in quick succession as Sunni worshipers left the mosque following a sermon, police said.

Kanaan is in Diyala province in eastern Iraq, about 20 kilometers east of Baquba, the province's capital.
