Tlumacki captured the moment right after the first explosion knocked down 78-year-old runner Bill Iffrig at the finish line. Iffrig got up a few minutes later and finished the race.

As he ran closer to the blast scene, Tlumacki says, he saw faces charred and bodies "still smoking." Spectators, runners and first responders flooded to the scene to help the victims.
