Israeli security forces kill Palestinian man, official says

(CNN) -- A 19 year old Palestinian man was shot and killed by the Israeli military in the West Bank on Tuesday, Palestinian officials told CNN.

Witnesses and a hospital official said Muattazz Sharawanah was shot in the upper body during clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian youth in the village of Dura.

The security forces opened fired on a "suspect" when he ignored orders to disperse, an Israeli military spokeswoman said.
