Authorities arrest a second would-be suicide bomber
A suicide bomber blew himself up Wednesday on a beach near a hotel in the Tunisian resort city of Sousse, killing only himself, according to an Interior Ministry official and state media.
“The suicide bomber detonated himself in front of a the hotel of Riad al-Nakheel in Boujaafar in the touristic resort of Sousse,” state news agency TAP reported, citing the general prosecutor’s office of the national security directorate.
There were no immediate reports of injuries to anyone else.
Authorities arrested a second would-be suicide bomber in the resort city of Monastir, according to the interior ministry. The man was arrested near the tomb of the country’s first president ,Habib Bourguiba, a popular tourist attraction.
