Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Four Afghans were killed and 17 others wounded when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden truck in front of a government office in southeastern Afghanistan early Monday morning, authorities said.

All of the victims were government employees arriving for work when the attack took place on the compound in Wardak province, authorities said.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told CNN.
