Story highlights

  • Signage around the world inspires plenty of laughter
  • Tasteless coffee is on the menu in Beijing
  • The price of used rainbows starts at $250 in Rome, Georgia

Travel writer Doug Lansky collected more 160 photographs and 25 illustrations for Lonely Planet's latest book to show some of the world's funniest blunders. "Ultimate signspotting: absurd and amusing signs from around the world" will be released October 1.
