Firefighters rescued a woman in China’s northern Hebei province Thursday, after she got stuck between the walls of two buildings.

According to China Central State Television, the state-run broadcaster, the woman fell while trying to receive some items from the 40 centimeter gap between the walls and hurt her arm.

She didn’t have the strength to get up, so called for help to free herself. No equipment was required – just a skinny fireman to slide in between the walls and slowly nudge the woman out.

The incident in Xitang city is the latest in a string of recent cases where Chinese emergency services have been called out to rescue people wedged between buildings.

In July 2013, a woman in Feidong city, Anhui province decided to take a short cut on her way home by slipping through the narrow gap between her neighbors’ houses. She was stuck for more than seven hours until assistance came.

A month later a teenage boy in Dalian, Liaoning province got trapped between the walls of two warehouses, when he tried to retrieve a gaming console.

And in April 2014, a nine-year-old boy got his head stuck between two cement posts in Huai’an, Jiangsui and a six-year-old girl in Yulin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region somehow got wedged between the wall of two buildings while playing with her friends.

Rescue workers responded to all the cases, sometimes having to use hammers and chisels to break pieces of the walls to free those trapped.
