The 18-year-old graduated with distinction on Saturday

His sister, Paris, recently appeared on the red carpet

CNN  —

It will soon be the sixth anniversary of the death of superstar Michael Jackson, but his family recently celebrated a much happier milestone.

The late singer’s son Prince graduated this weekend from the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. His proud aunt La Toya tweeted a picture of her and the new grad.

The elder Jackson died June 25, 2009, from a fatal combination of the surgical anesthetic propofol and sedatives. Since then, Jackson’s three children have tried to maintain a low profile.

Us magazine reported that on Saturday that Prince Jackson, 18, was joined by his sister Paris, brother Blanket and other relatives at the ceremony.

Seventeen-year-old Paris recently appeared on the red carpet at an event in Beverly Hills with her boyfriend, youth soccer player Chester Castellaw. The aspiring actress is set to to appear in the film “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,” due out in 2017.

The youngest Jackson, 13-year-old Blanket, was photographed in February decked out in his martial arts gear. Last year, a video made the rounds of him and his siblings joining their grandmother Katherine Jackson in remembering the King of Pop. It was a trailer for a documentary the Jackson family matriarch was encouraging fans to help fund.
