Car bombs kill 24 in Baghdad; ISIS claims it targeted Shiites

At least 24 people were killed and 64 wounded when two suicide car bombs exploded in Baghdad on Saturday, police officials in the Iraqi capital told CNN.

The incident took place in a busy roundabout in Kadhmiya, a suburb in northwestern Baghdad, police said.

ISIS released a statement, posted on Twitter, claiming responsibility. The bombers were targeting Shiites, the violent Islamist group said.
