The building that houses German Chancellor Angela Merkel's office was partly closed Wednesday.

(CNN)All of the German Chancellery, which houses the offices of German leader Angela Merkel, has been given the all-clear by police after part of the building was closed when a suspicious package was spotted.

Earlier Wednesday, part of the building was cordoned off.
But police reopened all of it two hours later, after opening five suspicious letters and finding nothing, a spokeman said.
The area was cordoned off at 8:30 a.m. and the alert ended at 10:44 a.m.
