McMillan Denies Report She's Leaving Jones' Cause
LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Susan Carpenter McMillan, the woman who befriended
Paula Jones and helped her polish her image, denied an Associated Press report
that she was stepping aside as a spokeswoman for Jones.
McMillan told CNN the report is "erroneous" and that her relationship with
Jones has not changed. She said she has never been Jones' spokeswoman in an
official capacity and she remains Jones' friend and confidant.
"I will be there in any capacity she wants me to be," McMillan said.
While she awaits the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals to rule on Jones' case, McMillan will resume her work with the Women's Coalition, a conservative women's group.
McMillan said she will also focus on promoting chemical castration laws and she will take on a movie studio over alleged filming of naked minors.
