Oval Office Staff Assistant Appears Before Grand Jury

WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, May 12) -- White House staffer Rebecca Cameron appeared before the Whitewater grand jury Tuesday in the Monica Lewinsky investigation.

Cameron's boss, chief of White House Oval Office operations Nancy Hernreich, has also been before the grand jury on several occasions.

Independent Counsel Ken Starr is trying to determine whether President Bill Clinton had a sexual relationship with Lewinsky, a former White House intern, and then encouraged her to lie about it under oath. Clinton has denied any wrongdoing.
