WASHINGTON (January 26) -- Maryland Democratic Sen. Barbara Mikulski is in a Baltimore hospital suffering from the flu.
A spokeswoman for the senator says Mikulski, 62, is in good, stable condition, resting and taking plenty of fluids. Mikulski expects to return to the Senate tomorrow in time to vote on the motion to dismiss and the motion to call witnesses in the impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton.
The third-term senator has not been feeling well for the last two weeks. Monday she went to the physician's office in the Capitol. And Tuesday when she woke up she went to the emergency room of an undisclosed Baltimore hospital where she was admitted.
Mikulski lives in Baltimore.
