LOS ANGELES (AllPolitics, June 8) -- Paula Corbin Jones and her husband are divorcing, according to her longtime friend Susan Carpenter-McMillan.

Jones' allegations of sex harassment against President Clinton helped fuel Independent Counsel Ken Starr's investigation and first brought to public attention Monica Lewinsky's relationship with Clinton.

Jones' friend would not elaborate on the divorce, saying only that she could confirm it.

In March, Jones acknowledged she and her husband, Steve, were having problems stemming from the "stress of this whole (Clinton) ordeal."

She said she was living in Arkansas and Steve was in Los Angeles.

The couple has two sons.

Jones and Clinton reached an out-of-court settlement of $850,000 in November over her claims that in 1991 the then-Arkansas governor made an improper sexual advance to her in a Little Rock hotel room when she was a state employee.
