CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL (www.cdc.gov/travel) Sick site: While it might inspire you to stay home, this site may offer the Internet's most comprehensive collection of disease information relevant to travelers. Click on your intended destination on the virtual globe and find out what's in store. You'll need to duck diptheria in the former Soviet Union and turn a jaundiced eye on yellow fever in Peru. But don't fret, exotic ailments may be the least of your worries: traffic accidents kill far more travelers than disease. LANGUAGES FOR TRAVELERS (www.travlang.com/languages) Webbed tongue: Need to brush up on your Bahasa before the next trip to Malaysia? Head to this useful little language library on the Web. The site offers basic phrases in more than 60 languages, including Hawaiian, Catalan and Esperanto, as well as all the biggies. It also provides phonetic translations and sound files so you can perfect your pronunciation. There's nothing like being able to say "cheers" in Swahili (vifiyo!) when they pour the wine (divai).
