Todd Benjamin

Todd Benjamin is the financial editor for CNN International, based in London since 1993. His daily appearances offer analysis into the latest financial and market news. His insights are also widely followed in his own blog on CNN.com/international.

Benjamin also presents a special feature for CNN International called ‘The Boardroom’, a special series of one to one interviews which talks to some of the world’s top executives about leadership and management styles that drive leading companies. Among those who have appeared are Jack Welch, Lou Gerstner, Richard Branson, Carlos Ghosn, Terry Leahy, Franz Humer, Arun Sarin, John Bond, Paul Walsh, Michel Timant, Niall Fitzgerald, and Mervyn Davies. Other interviews have included Alan Greenspan and Mikhail Gorbachev.

Benjamin has travelled throughout Europe covering economic and corporate stories.

A highly experienced and award-winning journalist, Benjamin joined CNN in October 1982 working in Washington, D.C., covering the U.S. Federal Reserve, U.S. Treasury, and economic stories and policy. He then was based in New York covering major corporate stories and also reporting regularly on Wall Street, including reports from the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to his London assignment, he was based in Tokyo for three years. Before joining CNN, Benjamin worked as an investigative and business reporter in local television news in Phoenix, Arizona.

Benjamin holds a bachelor's degree with honours in English from The University of Puget Sound. He is married with one child.
