Jerrold Kessel is a deputy bureau chief for CNN in Jerusalem and a correspondent based in the network's Jerusalem Bureau. Kessel began working with CNN in 1990, first as a field producer and then as a correspondent. He was part of the CNN team that reported on the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and has followed the Middle East Peace process from its beginning in 1991, reporting on peace talks, border disputes and recent hostilities.
Kessel has lived in Jerusalem for the past 25 years working as a journalist for various international news organizations. Prior to joining CNN, he was the chief news editor of The Jerusalem Post from 1985-1989. He also worked for The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, the London Jewish Chronicle, ABC Radio and New Zealand Radio.
