Top 10 Quest Films
Hi everyone,

This month, we're celebrating the release of "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" by picking our top 10 quest films.

Trusty steed? Check. Knight in armor? Check. Damsel in distress? Check. We've chosen our favorites and the ones which had us rooting for the Dark Side.

The Screening Room's Top 10 Quest Films

See what you think of our list, and send us your thoughts, plus any you think are missing.

Labels: ,

Clash of the Titans (1981) Harry Hamlin. Stop action/claymation animation and a script right out of the Steve Reeves collection. This would have done well in the 1940's, or even in the 1960's...
In the quest category I feel
Forest Gumpp should have been
included. I'm not into star
wars and high techy films.
Search for Private Ryan is
another of my top picks
I really can't understand why you have been so harsh about Star Trek IV. With 'The Wrath of Khan' and 'The Search for Spock', 'The Voyage Home' forms an almost unmatched cinematic trilogy, up there with Kieslowski's 'Three Colours', Leone's 'Dollars' or the Godfather films (and only the first two of them are good). Both Shatner and Nimoy are classically trained actors who deserve greater respect. What's more, unlike these two Star Trek greats, I suspect that neither Harrison Ford or Johnny Depp will ever have a Billboard Top 100 album!!
