LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Following are comments from CNN viewers and readers about the Democratic National Convention. To add your response, send e-mail to votersvoice@cnn.com. CNN.com will publish selected excerpts.
The Democrats, thanks to Bill Clinton and Al Gore, still have the magic of inclusion and progressiveness they had in '92 and '96. It will be a splendid victory and deja vu when a Bush loses again!
Scott Howell
I will be more than happy to praise Mr. Clinton if someone can convince me of his legacy with regards to foreign policy, health care, the military, education, etc. -- but the economy, come on! Do the Democrats really believe the American public is that naive? Maybe they are.
Steve Luorno
I think its time we elect a president like Al Gore because America needs someone concerned about the enviroment and who has the smarts to push for better technology to preserve our land.
Chuck Williams
I was greatly impressed by the speech President Clinton delivered last night at the Democratic Convention. But, most of all I was overwhelmed by the peace you could see not only his face but in the face of his daughter and wife. Amazing what the power of forgiveness can do when it is asked for.
Joyce Sciumbato
I think Clinton gave a great speech. He reminded America of all the good things he has done and he gave America a reason to vote for Gore if they want the prosperity that exists today to continue.
Renee E. Rayfield
I can't believe fellow Democrats would approve having Clinton there at the convention when he is now a known liar and national embarrassment to our country at home and abroad. Shame on Clinton, and shame on Gore.
LC Semenza
Both Clintons were a smash! The differences between the GOP and the Democrats were brought out into the light. How could anyone with a conscience vote for the Republican ticket? They just don't care about the average American.
David Borkoski
I thought Bill and Hillary did a great job of singing the same old song. I am ready for change.
Gil Hiltbrunner
Alan Greenspan, the guy Clinton and Gore praise so highly, is on a mission to increase the jobless rate and increase the interest rate. Clinton, Gore and Greenspan are all cheering at the wonderfully higher jobless rate and higher interest rate. What happens when this continues over the next four years?
Mark Venditti
Frankly, I don't think there's a Democrat running for any office in the country I'd vote for any position higher than dogcatcher with the possible exception of Joe Lieberman, himself. But I wouldn't vote for Gore to get Lieberman. The Democrats would probably do better to run Lieberman as their Presidential candidate rather than Gore.
