Minnesota has 72 pledged and 14 unpledged delegates. Of the 72 pledged delegates, 47 are district-level delegates (based on results of a given district's binding primary), 16 are at-large delegates and nine are "party leader and elected official" (PLEO) delegates. Of the 14 unpledged delegates, 12 are PLEO delegates and two are add-ons selected at the Democratic Party state convention on May 23, 2004.
