
Actor and comedian Nathan Lane wasted no time Sunday night in taking on the controversies surrounding the 50th annual Antoinette Perry Awards, more commonly known as the "Tonys." Offering good natured jabs at Julie Andrews, who rejected a best leading actress in a musical to show support for her snubbed vehicle "Victor/Victoria," and a lawsuit filed against the Tony nomination committee, Lane got the show off to a rousing start.
