KUKES, Albania (CNN) -- As the conflict in Yugoslavia begins its fourth week, doctors in refugee camps on the Albanian border are struggling with the many problems facing their patients. In particular, the new mothers and infants who have made the long journey from Kosovo to Albania.

Many pregnant women are delivering their babies early due to the stress and excessive walking. New mothers are having difficulty feeding their infants because of a loss of breast milk, also due to stress.

The medical personnel in the camps are working around the clock dealing with the health needs of their patients, reuniting lost children with their families and also just listening to the traumatic stories these people bring with them.

CNN Medical Correspondent Eileen O'Connor visited a refugee camp in Kukes and talked with doctors from the Italian Red Cross.
