LITTLETON, Colorado (CNN) -- Trauma surgeons and emergency room doctors and nurses are the unsung heroes who get up each morning not knowing what the day will bring. How do these emergency care providers do it? How does a multiple trauma like Tuesday's Colorado school shooting affect them? CNN Medical Correspondent Dr. Steve Salvatore talked with emergency staff at Swedish Medical Center about how they cope.
Meanwhile, CNN Medical Correspondent Rhonda Rowland talked with child health experts about the best ways to address children's fears following the shooting. How do parents answer their children's questions of why this happened?
