McCain: 'I'm older than dirt'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, acknowledged his age Thursday but brushed aside suggestions he is too old to be president.
"Ronald Reagan wasn't and I'd like you to meet my 94 year old mother who just finished driving herself around France," McCain said when asked if he is too old for the burdens of the presidency. But McCain, who turned 70 last August, acknowledged he was inching up in his years. "I am older than dirt," McCain said. "More scars than Frankenstein." McCain's comments come while hosting a reception for GOP governors in Miami Lakes, Florida. -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
