(CNN) -- Hollywood may have developed a taste for epic three- hour blockbusters, but there's still something to be said for the movie short.

After all, where else can you find amorous bananas, flying dogs and "rat women," all in the time it takes to watch the previews that come before the latest Hollywood hit.

CNN's Jeanne Moos visits a short film festival.
