NEW YORK (CNN) -- Woody Allen's longtime producer, cinematographer and editor reportedly say the acclaimed director is getting stingy with his film earnings, so they're quitting. According to the New York Times, Allen slashed their salaries so he could continue making movies without answering to big studios. Although his last three pictures have each grossed less than $11 million, some of Allen's former employees allege he's still paying himself millions per film.

CHICAGO (CNN) -- Oral historian and author Studs Terkel praised David Schwimmer for his portrayal of Prince Myshkin in Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot," currently playing in Chicago. Terkel, who interviewed Schwimmer as part of a four-part series of interviews called "Sunday in the Park with Studs" at the Chicago Historical Society, called the actor's theater performance "indelible" and "innovative." He also praised him for attracting young people to serious theater. Schwimmer is best known for his role in the hit TV sitcom "Friends."

Seinfeld
|
(CNN) -- For those still mourning the loss of the sitcom "Seinfeld," an Australian paper is picking up the slack by offering minute details about Jerry Seinfeld's upcoming comedy tour in the land down under -- in particular, what he requires to snack on backstage. The paper says the Seinfeld menu includes 18 small bottles of water, one bag of Rold Gold pretzels, a vegetable tray for four, a small jar of mayo and pasta salad sans mayo. "By superstar standards, it's not that demanding a list," an unnamed
promoter told The Daily Telegraph.
