LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- When the Emmy nominations were announced in July, Camryn Manheim of "The Practice" was so excited to learn she'd been nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress in a drama series ("The Practice") that she picked up David Hyde Pierce ("Frasier") and swung him around.
