And nothing buzzes louder every year than the speculation over who will, and who will not, bring home a guy named Oscar. Turner Entertainment Report staffer and CNN Interactive movie reviewer Paul Clinton joins in what he calls "the best guessing game of the year."

Let me say right now -- says CNN Interactive movie reviewer Paul Tatara -- that I have very little idea who's going to win the big Oscars this year. Normally, I bat a respectable .550 when picking these things, but with little exception, 1998 was a pretty mundane season as far as groundbreaking film work goes. So that's my excuse for getting them wrong. Now I'm ready to predict.
